Happy Birthday Knowclue!

Knowclue Kidd turns 18 years old!

I had no clue what adventures lay ahead, or just how far they would take me, when I created an avatar to explore ISTE’s presence in Second Life back in 2007.

Now I’m sitting in my Wellington flat with Peggy Sheehy, reminiscing about our wild adventures in Second Life, World of Warcraft, Quest Atlantis, and the many conferences we attended in our quest to keep learning relevant for students. Bron Stuckey, our partner in mischief and fellow traveler on this epic journey to reimagine education, will soon join us from Sydney.

I met Barbie Mavor, my dear Kiwi friend and mentor, through Bron; their long friendship grew after their paths crossed years ago in Portugal… and so it goes.

What a reunion, to all be together again IRL! I’m overwhelmed with gratitude that I’ve had the privilege to follow the learning alongside these three legends… all because I was curious enough to step into a virtual world and create an avatar named Knowclue.
